Team Weiss Technik UK Took on ‘It’s a Knockout’ Challenge for Rainbows Hospice

09-07-2025

We’re pleased to share that members of the Weiss Technik UK team took part in a  ‘It’s a Knockout’ charity event, in support of our chosen charity of the year, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.

The challenge, based on the much-loved television show from the 70’s known for its inflatable obstacle courses, wacky costumes and foam-filled games, saw participants face a series of physical and fun challenges designed to test teamwork and resilience, all whilst having a laugh. While the event provided plenty of entertainment, the motivation behind it was a serious and worthwhile cause.

Our team, comprising Emilie Roche-Miller, Kirsty Wilkins, Richard Cotterill, Nicolette Paterson, Nisha Dudhia, Richard Fleming, Matthew Ellaway, Louise Loach and Noemie Kervadec, raised £618 in the lead up to the charity challenge, contributing to a grand total of £1400 for Rainbows so far this year.

Rainbows is the only children’s hospice in the East Midlands and offers a wide range of services, including: end-of-life care, symptom management, short breaks, bereavement support and much more. Their team of nurses, therapists and support staff work tirelessly to bring comfort, dignity and moments of joy to the lives of the children and families in their care.

We were honoured to support the exceptional work Rainbows carries out and thank everyone who donated or supported our team along the way.
