Suffolk store takes shape A. C. Bacon are pleased to be working with Thurlow Nunn Standen Ltd (TNS) at Avenue Farm, Icklingham, Suffolk, on an extension for Elveden Farms Ltd. This phase 4 extension connects to an existing onion store that was built by A. C. Bacon in 2005 and completes a pair of 60m x 78m double span stores at the site. The building is of portal frame design with over 100 tonnes of steel sections; cladding is composite panels to meet insulation requirements and the high humidity environment for onion storage. The gutter will be a plastisol coated box gutter with square section downpipes. The building is split into two storage areas with an air plenum along the centre line, split at mid position for access between areas. To view the full article please click the link below.
