Typical Domestic Rainwater Harvesting System
In a typical domestic system, rainwater is collected by the roof and flows through pipes to a storage tank. There will then be a system of increasing the pressure of the supply, either through inline pump controllers or by locating the tank at height and using 350-060 exam gravity. If the water is to be used for drinking a filtration and purification process will be required, again there are many options for these including UV lights, distillation or chemical treatment. Otherwise the water will be suitable for use in the WC and for watering plants.Visit the RES (Devon) Ltd website for more information on Typical Domestic Rainwater Harvesting System
