Coastal Defence Repairs - Uskmouth Newport

Excavation and reinstatement of approximately 100m of flood defense embankment at Uskmouth, Newport. Existing earth works had suffered a rotational failure/slip and required complete excavation and resetting using improved structural aggregates and compaction techniques. Associated works involved diversion of the Wales Coastal Path including construction of a temporary footpath structure through the local RSPB reserve.
