Large scale Wind and Solar Installations

- For purposes of our work, we consider (medium / large to) large scale installations to include all turbines taller than 85m or solar arrays larger than 6ha / 2MW in total. Smaller turbines may be considered as part of this category if in clusters of more than 3. - All of these installations would require planning permission and in many cases detailed ecological, landscape and visual impact assessment services. In some cases, Environmental Impact Assessment in accordance with the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1999 will be required (this would be advised by the local planning authority on a case-by-case basis).
