IS YOUR SURFACE SUPPLIED DIVING DIVE CONTROL ROOM IMCA COMPLIANT?

29-07-2015

Analox are a proud member of the IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) and have been an active Supplier Member for many years, predominantly due to us being the leading supplier of gas monitoring equipment to the commercial diving industry since 1981. We have always believed that standards and guidelines are there to be improved and challenged and industry group members are best placed to achieve this through sharing of best practice and expertise. IMCA recently up-issued their D040 “Design for Mobile/Portable Surface Supplied Systems” and we wanted to draw attention to section 4 “Monitoring” which states: “If using any breathing gas other than compressed natural air, and the dive control area is enclosed (such as inside the cabin of a daughter craft) then an oxygen analyser with audio/visual alarm must be sited in the dive control area to warn the occupants of any rise of oxygen levels outside pre-set parameters due to gas leakage into the area” Our Safe-Ox+ is one of our best-selling ambient O2 monitors and perfectly suited to be installed in your dive control room. Here are just a few reasons why the Safe-Ox+ is ideal to comply with this IMCA guideline: The sensor can last up to 10 years It only needs calibrating every 18 months It takes minutes to install It comes complete with a repeater which can be located at the entrance to the dive control room The Safe-Ox+ is available now from our distributors.
