White Clawed Crayfish Survey

White clawed crayfish are afforded part protection under Schedule 5 of the 1981 Wildlife and Countryside Act, and Annex II and V of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010. Surveys are therefore needed to prevent the killing or injuring of this species and to mitigate against the impact of habitat loss.
