EVS Applications Fixed Wing

Autonomous Landing Guidance (ALG for short), also known as Autonomous Airborne Landing Capability (AALC) has been trialled thoroughly in the USA on military and commercial air crafts. ALG/AALC is designed for zero height and zero visibility landing. Air crafts that use ALG are cleared to land in 0,0 visibility conditions at any US airfield. ALG works by producing a real beam image of the airfield. ALG is particulary important in foggy weather conditions because it allows airports to operate without cancelling flights. ALG uses a derivative of the mmW RF seeker with a replacement antenna and different software. It is generally mounted in the radome of the aircraft.
