UVT measurement (portable)
Product Code: P200
UV254nm is the total amount of light, at a frequency of 254nm absorbed by dissolved and undissolved components within the sample. UV Transmission or % UVT is used to rapidly test water quality and the efficiency of UV sterilisation processes. The Real P200 instrument is ideal for bench top or field use. It is a reagentless measurement which only takes a short time to complete. The higher the transmission value, the less dissolved species and physical particulate (turbidity) is contained within the sample. The P200 uses a 10mm pathlength and provides a dynamic measuring range 1-100 % UVT. It is commonly used for drinking water (potable water) applications such as to check private borehole water supply. The instrument is also used within the waste water treatment industry to check the performance of UV sterilisation. Other portable models are also available providing different path lengths (1,2 & 40mm) which then provide different measuring ranges and resolutions. The 40mm pathlength is ideal for pure water applications.Visit the Pollution & Process Monitoring Ltd website for more information on UVT measurement (portable)
