Dished Based Solids Settling Tank
Dished Based Solids Settling Tank
Enduramaxx dished base solids settling tanks with conical bases are mounted on a steel frame and used extensively for settlement and concentration of difficult materials that form sludge. This enables liquids to be removed for disposal & recycling through the concentration of the sludge in the bottom of the cone.
Applications For Solids Settling Tanks
Examples of wastewater treatment uses for dished based solids settling tanks include;
Treated water storage
Anaerobic digestion
Effluent treatment plants
The concentration of apple mulch after cider fermentation
Sludge Thickening & Dewatering Tanks
These tanks are used as sludge thickening and dewatering tanks. This includes the reduction of volume by up to 80 %, through thickening where wastewater treatment plants draw off the sludge off.
Dewatering is the further reduction of the sludge amount after the thickening as the liquid still must be dewatered to a dry and porous form.
Features Of Dished Based Settling Tanks;
Capacities available up to 30,000 litres – 30m3
Complete drainage and easy removal of difficult sludge’s
The cone base gives a large surface area to allow particles to settle on the tank floor
The bottom drain allows the tank to be cleaned and drained
Decanting/racking ports allow for liquor/effluent removal at different levels
Rotationally moulded, UK stabilised PE construction for many years of outside use.
Side access for cleaning the tank
Optional mixers to agitate the sludge and suspended solids
Sedimentation tanks for flocculent particles and activated sludge tanks
Available with different colours – black, dark green, natural – translucent to view level in the tank)
Equipment Mounting, Pipework and Customisation for Settling Tanks
These dished based or conical tanks are available with customised fittings to connect to water treatment pipework. Manufactured as polyethene tanks mean that BSP inlets, outlets, PN16 and ANSI flanges can be welded to the tanks. Other welded sockets, vents, liquid level sensor assemblies, fill pipes and suction pipes are available.
