Elite announces competition winner

03-06-2024

Earlier this year, Elite Precast launched a new product competition in collaboration with Harper Adams University, and they have now announced engineering student Will Creed as the winner.

The competition kicked off with a visit from Elite Precast to Harper Adams, where Paul Cartwright and Louise Chouhan-Hodges introduced the students to Elite’s current product range, as well as the manufacturing and quality processes behind their concrete products. They also outlined the requirements for any new product design.

Following this, the students were invited to tour Elite’s three manufacturing units in Telford. During the visit, they had the opportunity to observe the machinery and processes that ensure the quality and durability of Elite’s walling, drainage, and security products. They even witnessed the production of concrete blocks destined for the Paris Olympics.

Will Creed later visited Elite’s offices to discuss his winning product design with Paul Cartwright, Business Development Director.

Paul commented, “Working with Harper Adams has been a fantastic experience. Will embraced the challenge of designing a concrete agri-product that not only aligns with our production techniques but also meets customer needs. We’re excited to begin production and marketing of his design soon.”

As the competition winner, Will has been awarded £1,000 and the opportunity to see his product brought to life and marketed by Elite Precast. Further details will be announced soon.
