Japanese Knotweed Excavation Works Cardiff Castle

As part of a wider package of works EcoVigour have recently carried out Japanese Knotweed treatment at Cardiff Castle. The works involved careful planing and execution to ensure that the delicate archaeological features at the site were preserved and that the work had minimum impact upon the visitors to the castle and the neighbouring Bute Park. Treatment involved a combination of herbicide application, excavation and removal, and in-situ encapsulation. Areas of residual Japanese Knotweed around delicate archaeological features will receive an annual on-going herbicide treatment until they are eradicated.
